Right to die should be beyond politics.

Exitinternational promotes a humane means to end my end if and when I choose!.

On the last Saturday of May the Townsville Exitinternational group hosted a public meeting addressed by Dr Philip Nitschke.  Then followed a closed workshop to explain the options available to those of us who want the right to be able to determine when we want to die peacefully and comfortably.

I choose to attend the Exitinternational meeting, perhaps like the 60 or more others, to hear the views of Dr Nitschke.  Then along with about two/ thirds of the audience, I wanted to join Exitinternational in order to hear further detail of the current options to achieve a peaceful and reliable death.

What I found of great value was a key suggestion from Exitinternational to consider developing an end of life plan, to have strategies in place to allow me to end my life when intolerable circumstances prevail.

I believe that Voluntary Euthanasia is far beyond politics and that Australians should have the option of achieving a more humane method of reaching the end of each individual journey.
